I'd like to start a frank dicussion on the condition of the National Republican party and how it seems to have left the people to a point that it is hardly distinguishable from the Democrat party. (Tax and Spend)

The Republican party is more controlled by the Republican base then can be said of demoncratic party. Not to start this off by name calling. As a Party we recognize a need for taxes. We also recognize the need to spend those taxes. As conservatives we are obliged, Compelled even, to live and spend within the tax base. Endeavoring to spend less then the tax base and returning the overage to the people is also a compulsion of the Conservative Republican Party. If you follow what mainstream media, which is puppet to the demoncratic party, says about Our Party then it will be hard to discuss with you what the "condition" truly is.

At least 99% of the Republican House is united against the Democrat Health Care boondoggle.  They have offered a simple private option proposal and if it were not for the Internet, no one would know it.  I believe the biggest enemy the Republican Party has is the National Main Stream Media (MSM).  They are so in the pocket of the left they choke up to say the word Republican, let alone let any speak.

"I believe the biggest enemy the Republican Party has is the National Main Stream Media (MSM)."

Tru Dat!  The MSM went from being the peoples "watchdog" to being the Democrats "Lapdog"  I get so tired of hearing "the Republicans never offered anything".  I like to point out that the R's were literally locked out of any negotiations, even to once changing the locks on them!  They offered over 250 amendments to the house bill, all of course never made it through committee.  They have offered at least 4 different health care REFORM bills (not any Government healthcare takeover plans), none would have cost the taxpayer a dime.  KISS (Keep it simple stupid!) Tort reform, proven time and time again in states that have it, it lowers insurance costs, it lowers malpractice premiums, which in turn lowers hospital bills, not having to pay for all the CYA testing.  Repeal both Federal AND State laws barring insurance sales across state lines.  Those two items would decrease the cost of all insurances.  A third I would add is the requirement of being enrolled in Medicare, in order to get your social security check (yes there's a law, signed by Clinton)  That would take hundreds of thousands off the Medicare rolls, because some folks have a good program from retiring that they like better.

I've rambled enough,

Sarge
